INTRODUCTION
In conjunction with Downer we prepared a tender programme for an irrigation scheme West of Christchurch.
This entailed draining water from the Rakaia River and reticulating it to farmers in the mid Canterbury area. The amount of water each farmer took was measured by a controller at each farmer's take off point and transmitted via a wifi system. Each farmer had paid contributions to the system to get it underway.
Downers to lay 200km pipe including 23km of Glass reinforced 2.5m diameter pipe.
